The central theme of this project delved into the concept of Metamorphosis as the core essence of evolution within Sea Creatures. The objective was to craft a blueprint for an Imaginary City of Delight, intentionally left without a specified scale. The aim was to intricately develop this city using a combination of written descriptions and photographs sourced from the real world. Drawing inspiration from literary works such as "Invisible Cities" by Italo Calvino (1923-1985) and "The Ultimate City" by James Graham Ballard (1930-2009), the project sought to weave a narrative of architecture by introducing fictional characters and elements, thereby evoking vivid imagery in the reader's subconscious.
Named the "Unsighted City," this project was uniquely tailored for individuals who are blind or partially blind. The architectural design prioritized elements like warmth, coolness, sound, texture, and other intangible qualities, excluding conventional tangible elements. The goal was to construct an environment where these sensory traits played a pivotal role in shaping the overall architecture, creating an immersive experience for those with visual impairments.
